1 egg -- beaten
1/2 cup waterchestnuts -- coarsely chopped
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup green onion -- finely chopped
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp grated ginger root
1/2 tsp splenda
1/4 tsp salt
1 dash red pepper
1 1/2 lb ground turkey -- 750g
12 lettuce leaves
fresh cilantro sprigs
- THAI DIPPING SAUCE-
1/4 cup Lemon juice
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp chopped cilantro
2 tsp splenda
1 tsp soy sauce
Crushed red pepper (to taste)
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine egg, water chestnuts, parmesan cheese, green onion, soy sauce, lemon juice, ginger root, sugar, salt, and chilli oil.
2. Add turkey and mix well. Shape into twelve 4. x 1 1/2 x 3/4 loaves. Cook over medium heat or broil for 12 to 14 minutes or until juices run clear.
3. Each loaf can be served wrapped in a lettuce leaf (optional). Garnish loaf with Cilantro. Serve with Thai dipping sauce.
SAUCE
Combine sauce ingredients in a small bowl, and serve( add water to taste if dipping sauce is too strong).
