1/2 kilogram pork -- 1lb minced
2 white bread slices
soaked in milk and squeezed to drain
1 garlic clove -- crushed
1 small onion -- coarsely grated
1 tablespoon parsley -- finely chopped
salt and pepper
-SAUCE-
1 can tomatoes -- peeled
1 teaspoon tomato puree
2 tablespoons dry white wine
1 1/2 tablespoons olive
Combine the minced meat, bread, garlic, onion, parsley, salt and pepper.Shape the mixture into small balls, the size of an egg yolk. Place them in27x27 cm ovenproof dish very close to each other. It makes about 34-36 keftedakia. Blend all the ingredients for the sauce and spoon over the meatballs.Bake uncovered in a moderate, preheated oven325°F-160°Cfor 40-50 minutes.They are cooked, when they are lightly bown and the sauce thickens. If it isto be served immediately, cover with foil so that the sauce does not thiken lfurther.
