2 kilograms chicken pieces -- 4 lb
4 ounces mushroom sauce, packet
1 cup dry white wine
1 can mushrooms -- drained (optional)

Coat chicken pieces with soup powder. Place the chicken, skin side-up in a 27x27cm ovenproof dish. If there is some soup left, sprinkle the chicken with it. Place the mushrooms under the chicken portions and pour the wine from a corner of the dish. Do not attempt to pour on top as this will shift the soup. Cover with foil and cook in a moderately hot oven375°F-190°C for 1 3/4 - 2 hours or until tender. Remove the foil and continue cooking, turning the chicken to golden brown on both sides. If it is not to be served immediately, cover with foil.
