1 1/2 lb round steak -- 750gr bonless
salt and pepper
1 onion -- chopped
1 cup celery -- slices
1 cup tomato juice -- seasoned
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 cl garlic
1 med green pepper -- chopped
1/2 lb okra -- 250gr frozen
2 1/2 oz mushrooms, canned -- 75gr drained
carrot curl -- optional
Cut steak into strips about 1/2' -12mm wide and 2" - 50mm long. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in slow-cooking pot with onion, celery, tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Turn control to high. Add green peppers and partially thawed okra and mushrooms. Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes or until okra is done. Garnish with carrot curls if desired.
