CAJUN SHRIMP MILD

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 lb shrimp -- 1k prawns
SEASONING
1/2 cup salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp parsley -- dried
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp chili powder
mix and store in a jar on a shelf

Bring 1 quart water to boil and add seasoning. Cool in fridge. Add 2 pounds shrimp with their heads off and their shells on. Throw in 1/2 lemon (squeezed) too if you want.
Put in fridge and leave overnight. Next day, remove shrimp and bring liquid to boil. Add shrimp and bring to boil again and boil 5 minutes. Take off heat and let sit 5 more minutes. Remove shrimp and spread out on paper towels to cool.
I keep these in the fridge to munch on since nuts are out of the question for me. This is a big batch and could be made smaller. But in our house even the
non LCers love them.
