1 med cornish game hens
carcass with some meat still left on
1/2 lg onion
1 tsp garlic powder
Water
2 oz shredded cheddar cheese -- 60g
Cook the hen carcass in enough water to cover parts (break them apart). Peel onion and slice into thin rings and cook in with hen. Add seasonings. When all is cooked and onion slices are very tender pour into heatproof bowl. Sprinkle cheese on top. Heat in microwave to melt cheese or if bowl is oven proof, put under broiler until cheese is brown and bubbly. Increase quantities per serve.
