ASPARAGUS PARMESAN SOUP

12 asparagus spears
1 cup water
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
black pepper to taste
Cut woody ends from asparagus.
Bring water to boil in a saute pan, add tips, and boil slowly for 7-8 mins.
Drain and puree in a blender, adding olive oil and cream.
Empty in a bowl and stir in cheese and pepper to taste.
