FLORIDA CLAMS SPREAD

36 Florida littleneck clams
1/4 cup minced onion
2 tbsp grated Romano cheese
1 tsp minced garlic
1/4 cup Florida blue crab meat
1 tsp lime juice
1/2 lb cream cheese -- 250g softened
clam juice add water to make 1/2 cup

Wash clams thoroughly under cold running water.
Steam until cooked and remove from shells. (Reserve juice from steamed clams)
Combine all other ingredients.
Chill for at least one hour.
Serve with cut fresh vegetables or LC crackers.
