Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
A seaside suburb of Melbourne Australia
24 oysters -- fresh in shells
1 cl garlic -- softened
3 tbsp butter -- softened
1 pinch turmeric
1 pinch salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp parsley -- finely chopped
1/2 tsp oregano -- dried
1 tbsp lime juice

Clean sand and dirt from oysters. If shells are whole, open over sieve above small bow, to capture juices. Remove oysters from shells. Combine butter and garlic. Rub the half shell with garlic and butter mix; replace oyster. Mix salt, pepper and turmeric. Sprinkle over oysters. Mix olive oil, parsley, and oregano and small amount of saved oyster juices if available. Heap this mixture over each oyster. Arrange in shallow baking dish; bake at 350°F-180°C for about 10 minutes or until edges of oysters curl. Serve very hot. Brush with remaining butter mix and drizzle with lime juice.
