CAJUN-STYLE BROILED ALASKA HALIBUT

4 6 oz halibut steaks -- 180g
1 tbsp olive oil
**SEASONING MIX**
1 tbsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp dried oregano -- crushed
1 1/2 tsp dried thyme -- crushed
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

In small bowl, combine seasoning mix ingredients; set aside 2 teaspoons of mixture. Place remaining seasoning mix in air-tight container and reserve for other uses. Place halibut on baking sheet or broiler pan that has been coated with non-stick cooking spray. Brush halibut with oil; sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of seasoning mix evenly over each halibut steak. Broil 10 minutes per inch of thickness or until fish flakes when tested with fork.
Serve warm.
