CHICKEN BREAST SUPREME WITH BLUE CHEESE

4 6 oz skinless boneless chicken breast halves
1 tsp mixed herbs -- dried fine herbs
freshly ground black pepper -- to taste
1/4 tsp salt -- optional
2 tbsp butter
2 garlic cloves -- minced
4 oz crumbled blue cheese
8 oz sour cream
3 tbsp finely chopped green onions

Wash chicken well and dry.
Preheat oven to 350°F-180°C.
Sprinkle chicken pieces with seasonings.
In non-stick skillet, melt butter or margarine and brown chicken on both sides.
Place the browned chicken in a baking casserole.
In same skillet, sauté the garlic.
Reduce heat to low, add the Blue Cheese and the sour cream, and stir until well blended.
Spoon sauce over chicken; cover and bake for one hour or until tender.
Remove cover; add green onions and cook 5 additional minutes.
Serve with sauce from casserole.
