ROAST PORK SPARERIBS

750 g pork spareribs -- 1 1/2lb rindless
4 cl garlic -- crushed
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup dry sherry
1/2 cup splenda
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 cup water

Trim excess fat from spareribs and chop into 5cm pieces. In a bowl combine the garlic, soy sauce sherry, splenda, vegetable oil, sesame oil and water, stirring well to dissolver. Place the spareribs in a baking tray and pour the marinade over. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate refrigerated, for at least 8 hours turning occasionally.
Remove the plastic wrap and cover the tray with aluminum foil Place the baking tray in preheated oven at 375°F-190°C and roast for 25 minutes. Remove the foil an continue roasting until the sauce has reduced to a sticky glaze on the ribs. Drain off the excess fat and serve hot.
