1 kg pork spareribs -- 2lb rind removed
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sherry
4 cl garlic -- crushed
1/2 tsp grated ginger root
Chinese five spice powder 1/2 tsp
In a bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce and sherry. Add the crushed garlic, ginger and five spice powder and mix well. Place spareribs in a large baking dish, in a single layer. Pour marinade over making sure they are well covered. Cover dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours-best overnight, turn occasionally.
Cook over a medium hot barbecue or under the griller for approximately 30 minutes, turning often to cook evenly.
