ROASTER LAMB SHANKS

4 lamb shank -- lean
3/4 cup hot water
2 tsp prepared mustard
2 tsp beef stock -- powdered if timed
2 tsp horseradish sauce
2 cl minced garlic
3 tbsp apple -- jelly or mint
2 tbsp lemon juice
Turn on griller. Grill lamb 4"- 100mm from heat source to brown on all sides. Preheat oven to 350°F-180C° . Transfer lamb to a covered roasting pan large enough to hold shanks in a single layer. Add remaining ingredients and stir well. Cover and bake 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until very tender.
