1 cup water
2 egg yolks -- beaten
1 dash ground nutmeg
2 cups coffee -- decaf, strong
2 tbsp Splenda
whipped cream -- garnish,optional
nutmeg -- garnish, optional

-combine cream andwater in a medium heavy saucepan.
-Combine egg yolks,Splenda andnutmeg;add to cream mixture.
-Cook andstir over medium heat till mixture coats a metal spoon.
-Add the coffee to the cream mixture, beating with a whisk to combine.
-If desired top each serving with whipped cream anda sprinkling of nutmeg
-For 6 servings, each serving is: 2 carbs
-For 8 servings, each serving is: 1.5 carbs
